The collective term for this is the healthcare industry but the word industry may not necessarily be the best one to use.

Whether you use the phrase healthcare industry or not, it is still one of the fastest growing around the world with an average cost of 10 percent of gross domestic product it also plays a large part in the economy of any country. The only world nation to differ is The United States with over 15 percent corresponding to figures published in 2003 but it is set to rise to almost twenty percent by the year 2016.
