July 14, 2009

Phentermine Diet Pills is an appetite suppressant that affects the central nervous system and is available only on doctor’s prescription. It is administered to treat excessively obese people at a higher risk of health problems related to obesity e.g. high blood pressure, diabetes or high cholesterol. It is generally recommended for people having body mass index (BMI) of 28 or more. Its long-term use is prohibited due to its addictive nature and side effects. Thus it should be taken with a lot of care.

Precautions should be taken before taking phentermine. If you have used MAO inhibitor like Marplan, Parnate or Azilect then the use of phentermine must be avoided at least for the next 14 days as it can lead to fatal side effects. Use of phentermine coupled with any other diet medications e.g. fenfluramine (Phen-Fen) without doctor’s advice is strictly prohibited. First check for any allergy to phentermine or other stimulants. Do not use phentermine if you have heart disease or high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), an overactive thyroid, glaucoma. If you happen to have a history of drug abuse or addiction, avoid the use of phentermine.
