Buying and Using Steroids

In the recent past number of athletes have been accused and found guilty of buying steroids and consuming them for enhancing their performances in Olympics. Sometimes it becomes very difficult to confirm that the athletes have used steroids for enhancing their performances. Only a few players have confessed that they had used steroids.
A few players who have admitted are Jason Giambi, Mark McGwire and Jose Canseco. Most of the athletes have denied their use.
Many athletes buy steroids and use them for increasing their abilities and do mistakes and are found guilty. Such athletes have been instrumental in corrupting the integrity and purity of the game and are spoiling the young athletes and putting their health in danger.
No sympathy should be shown against such athletes who buy steroids, if they are awarded some punishment. The laws for users of banned steroids had become stricter so that no athlete should dare to consume these banned drugs. These athletes not only put their health into risk but also influence other youngsters to make use of these banned drugs. They also lessen the dignity of the game for which most of the countries send their teams to participate in such games.
