Probably one of the most unusual roles for Sean Connery was his portrayal of a doctor in a South American jungle, looking into a way to eradicate cancer. This disease causes suffering everywhere it is found. The reasons cancer is triggered in the body are only theories as it can be caused by many things.
Of course many researchers belief that we are in effect born with cancer which is just waiting for something to set if off, but just what is cancer? This is what happens with a population of cells that increase in size by replication, similar to the amoeba.
A cancerous tumor keeps growing but a benign one is self-limiting and generally won’t cause any harm to the body. As you get older the risk of cancer increases. Study, in general, helps us learn why one person is more susceptible to an illness than another.
